Hi, I'm Jeff!

From the moments I started going to the movies, watching shows on TV, diving into fictional cinematic universes, or playing video games like Ocarina of Time or even Super Mario 64 (gotta love that impressively athletic plumber), I’ve always been fascinated by and immersed in storytelling and characters.

In real life, after different negative and toxic moments, self-limiting beliefs, and fear of failure, I originally decided to create Monnery Films to ignorantly and selfishly help myself. I thought, “If I can make something bigger than me—and get paid doing it—then maybe I could do better…maybe I could BE better.”

Turns out, although not as simple as it first seemed, it did help me become a subjectively improved version of myself over and over, and is still doing so.

Equally importantly, since 2019, Monnery Films also helped many others make progress—whether on promoting their business or cause, inspiring them to take action, providing a new understanding through various perspectives and stories, or helping them feel and realize that they are not alone.

Today, Monnery Films crafts films that leave a lasting impression on people.

It aims to create, share, and amplify stories, viewpoints, and approaches. THIS is now Monnery Films’ true mission and commitment—to you, to video games lovers, to moviegoers, to book readers, to those going through negative and toxic moments, to those who fear, to those who don’t believe in themselves, to those who think they’re alone, to businesses, to nonprofits, to individuals and organizations. Heck, even to those who put pineapples on pizzas.

Stories help me. They help people inspire. They help people dream. They help people learn. They help people feel. They help people trust. They help people understand themselves and the world around them. They help people connect. They help people unite. They help people.

From the moments I started to play, watch, read, and listen to stories, and now to the moments I write, make, record, and document them, it’s never been just about storytelling and characters, but always about connecting, belonging, and understanding.

Films are just like books or songs, they can entertain, inform, educate, promote, motivate, sell, and so much more.
